Advanced Topic 36 of 52 Data Structures
Sparse Tables
Precomputed tables answering idempotent range queries in constant time.
How it works
A sparse table precomputes answers for all ranges of length 2^k in O(n log n) time so range minimum queries are O(1) by overlapping two ranges.
Where it is used
Static range min/max, LCA via Euler tour.
Common pitfall
Cannot handle updates and uses O(n log n) memory.
Where it fits in the course
Sparse Tables is topic 36 of 52 in Data Structures, rated Advanced. It follows Treaps. The next topic is Suffix Arrays.
